Jordan Occasionally, or JD, is a neo soul and R&B artist, born and raised in the soul capital of music, Memphis, TN. She has been a performer since she was four years old and picked up songwriting around the age of fifteen.
A student by day and an artist by night, Jordan Occasionally is currently a third year music business student at the University of Memphis on a full-ride academic scholarship for her voice and performance.
Jordan Occasionally has been featured in articles in The Daily Memphian, Choose 901, and the Commercial Appeal for her self-released EP “1998.” She is an Emerging Star with David Porter’s Consortium MMT in 2019, and has performed her original music on stages as big as Levitt Shell in Memphis, City Winery in Nashville, and even Carnegie Hall in New York City. Inspired by the freedom fighters of the past, Jordan Occasionally writes her music with the hopes of empowering generations before and after her that they are never too old or young to recognize how their roots can change the world.
