Soprano sax award at 1969 and 1971 Notre Dame Collegiate Jazz Festivals. Performed with Jean Carne, Norman Conners, Gary Bartz, Kirk Whalum among others. Former All-American Notre Dame sprinter and current all-time ND record holder at 100m and 200m. 1969 Rhodes scholar finalist. 1968 U.S. Olympic trials finalist at 100m. Former (1968) American record holder for Indoor 300yd sprint(29.6s). 1994 NCAA SILVER ANNIVERSARY Award (along with Kareem Abdul Jabaar, Calvin Hill, Jim Ryun and Lee Evans).
