Lana J. is a young Singer/Songwriter from Memphis, TN. Her style generates a R&B and Neo-Soul Fusion but can also vary to Pop and Gospel. She is heavily influenced from artists such as Alicia Keys, Jhene Aiko, Stevie Wonder, Jill Scott, Hillsong, H.E.R and many more.
Lana J. Has had several moments in her life that have motivated her into becoming the singer and performer she is today. Since the summer of 2013, her involvement in Stax Music Academy inspired the development of her songwriting skills which led to many victories within various songwriting competitions, professional recordings, as well as a live performance every summer, at the levitt shell, in front of more than 5,000 She grew up and soon became a praise and worship leader at her church, New Direction Christian Church.
As her dreams were elevated to the next level she is currently closing out her second year pursuing her degree in popular and commercial music at Loyola University of New Orleans, while developing her individual artistry. She has had the opportunity to perform at some amazing New Orleans venues like Tipitina’s, Gasa Gasa, and House of Blues.!
She is currently working on a new EP, which will contain her first single, "Warning" which you can find on all streaming platforms!
